New Cake Topper Range

Hi All,
I’m very excited about the next few weeks as I’m hoping to launch a new style Cake Topper.

I have been working on the design for my Claybaby range of cute character style cake toppers for some time now and I have finally managed to produce the first sample model. They should be on the website by this weekend, as soon as they have had their ‘finishing touches’.

They will retail at just under £100 and though they will retain the same high quality as the Artisan Cake Toppers range, by making them slightly smaller and by adding a little less detail, I can keep them at a more affordable price. As soon as they are on the site, I will be taking orders for 2011.

If you’d like me to contact you once the figures are released or to register your interest, please drop me an email at susan@artisancaketoppers.com. Otherwise…watch this space :)

Wedding Treats!

My little cousin got married a couple of weeks ago. It was an absolutely fantastic occasion set in a gorgeous location on a perfect spring day.

My cousin has always been a little quirky, however the wedding, on the surface, was a very traditional affair though there were lovely little touches throughout the day which made it unique to them.

The tables were named after the couple’s favourite rock bands, the cello and violin music which played throughout the meal turned out to be covers of Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters and Nirvana tracks and, instead of the traditional favors, there were little bags of ‘pick and mix’ and tiny bottles of bubbles at every place setting.

Their 3 tier cake again looked very traditional and sadly, the quirky little touch they’d wanted to add to it ie. personalised cake toppers, had not come to fruition.

Due to the the Groom having a rather nasty accident a couple of months prior to the wedding, they had been unable to organise their bride, groom and zombies cake topper in time. Unfortunately they were unaware that I could have made their cake toppers for them.

The good new is that the groom is recovering well and the broken back he sustained while snow boarding, did not seem to spoil his enjoyment of the day and secondly, they have decided to get the cake the really wanted for their 1 year anniversary party and I will be supplying the cake toppers, complete with zombies and a fully armed Bride & Groom. I guess I better practice making tiny grenades.
